This was a lovely place for watching the eclipse. It was a perfect viewing, not crowded, clean bathroom, very large spread out sites. so much better than a state park that is over crowded. Water isn't perfect- but that is the river, not owners fault. The young lady that checked us in was very pleasant, and the woman I spoke to on the phone to make the reservation was very pleasant. It's a private site- just follow their rules, and be respectful and you will have a wonderful time.
I’m leaving one star because I have to, so I can post this
Great family place. Relaxing, beautiful scenery, lots to do and enjoy. Everyone there so friendly. Offers fishing, camping, hunting, holiday activities and chili cook offs etc, movie night's, live music, karioke, swimming, hiking, boat rentals, volleyball, showers, laundromat. its a great time everytime.
I can’t even give this place one star because I was only there to check and see if I left something in my grandmothers car. I had to wait for the owners to come back around to even go in. Over 30 minutes. They went to get onto my aunt and Uncle who drove the RV down there and they were hooking everything up and making sure everything worked properly and so on. The owners were mad because they were not out in 20 minutes. When the owner finally came back around she told me that if I wasn’t out in 15 minutes they were going to charge my grandparents. I had so many fond memories of the campground when I was younger, before they owned it, but I know for sure my family will not go back. Ita a small camping vacation, you go to relax, not get yelled at by some rude women who is money hungry.
Wonderful experience. We were there for the eclipse. Family run and they are very nice. Well kept. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because they don't have full hook ups. We will be going back. Often.
Been going here forever love guy the owner. Wife is a little on the rude side. She yelled at my son for not wearing a shirt at karaoke. He is a young child. Kids are there to have fun to not to be yelled at for petty stuff. Now guy is a very great man and is very friendly. But we will be going back from time to time.
